Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 16, 2026
In short:
Ibadah Toolkit stores your preferences (theme, bookmarks, prayer settings) on your device. When you use Prayer Spaces, your location is sent to OpenStreetMap to find nearby mosques. We collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, errors) on our own servers — no third-party trackers, no ads, no accounts required.
1. Who we are
Ibadah Toolkit is developed and maintained by an independent developer based in Singapore.
Contact: mrmasturofficial@gmail.com
Website: www.ibadahtoolkit.com
2. What data we collect
2.1 Data stored on your device (never sent to us)
- App preferences: theme, language, font size, accessibility settings
- Bookmarks: saved duas, Quran reading position, dhikr presets
- Offline caches: prayer times, Quran verses, mosque search results
- Ramadan and Umrah tracker progress
- Zakat calculation history
This data stays on your device in local storage. We cannot access it.
2.2 Data sent to our server
- Anonymous page-view events: page path, module name, referrer, coarse device category (mobile/desktop), and a random session ID
- Error reports: error message, stack trace (truncated), module name, and random session ID
- No names, emails, phone numbers, or account information is collected
- IP addresses are hashed (HMAC-SHA256, truncated) for rate-limiting only and are never stored in raw form
Retention: Telemetry events are deleted after 30 days. Error logs are deleted after 90 days.
2.3 Data sent to third-party services
When you use specific features, data is sent to these external services:
| Feature | Service | Data sent |
|---|---|---|
| Prayer Spaces (mosque finder) | OpenStreetMap Overpass API | Your GPS coordinates and search radius |
| Prayer Spaces (search) | OpenStreetMap Nominatim | Your typed search query |
| Prayer Spaces (map tiles) | CartoDB | Map viewport coordinates |
| Prayer Times | Aladhan API | City name, country name, calculation method |
| Weather Comparison | Open-Meteo | Hardcoded city coordinates (not your GPS) |
| Quran | Quran Foundation API | Chapter/page numbers, search text, translation preferences |
These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.
3. Location data
Ibadah Toolkit requests your device location for two features:
- Qibla Compass: Your GPS coordinates are used locally on your device to calculate the direction to the Kaaba. They are never sent to any server.
- Prayer Spaces: Your GPS coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Overpass API to find nearby mosques and prayer rooms.
Location access is optional. You can deny the permission and still use all other features. You can also search for locations manually.
4. Permissions
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Internet | Load prayer times, Quran text, map data |
| Notifications | Prayer time reminders (you choose which prayers) |
| Exact alarms | Deliver notifications at precise prayer times |
| Vibrate | Haptic feedback for dhikr counter |
| Location (via browser) | Qibla direction and nearby mosque search |
5. Children's privacy
Ibadah Toolkit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account and does not collect names, emails, or ages.
6. Data security
- All network requests use HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
- No user accounts or passwords exist
- IP addresses are cryptographically hashed before any processing
- The app does not use advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting
7. Your rights
Since we do not collect personal information or maintain user accounts, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. Local data (bookmarks, preferences) can be cleared by clearing the app's storage in your device settings.
If you have questions or concerns, contact us at: mrmasturofficial@gmail.com
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Applicable law
This policy is governed by the laws of Singapore, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
